Blessed is He Who is not Offended Because of Me
So many are "parakeet" voices of what they believe is main stream Christianity. Well poised in christianizes, on auto pilot with come back words, prayers and repeating sayings passed down from generations of churchianity.
Many even have down pat what "their pastors have said"; in fact, many have become parrots of his or hers very sayings. But do you KNOW CHRIST? is the most critical question in this hour. Did you know that much of your walk with Christ is to prepare you for another appointed time? Much of what your going through has a meaning that you may not understand this present moment, but for a time to come. I am reminded of a question that John the Baptizer sent his disciples to ask Jesus: “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” (Matthew 11:3). Why would John ask this question if he already knew that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God? John may also have wondered why, if Jesus was a worker of all manner of miracles, was he still in prison. Could Jesus not rescue His forerunner? Could He not save him from the sword of Herod? Jesus’ response to John: “And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me” (Matthew 11:6).
John obviously knew something about Jesus, or he would not have been hesitant to baptize Him. To “not know” Jesus then, likely had much more to do with not knowing him “officially, as the Messiah” than anything else. John seemed to believe that Jesus was the Messiah already, “he did not know it”
No doubt he knew in a general way who Jesus was; but as the official forerunner and announcer of Jesus, and as the heaven-sent witness (John 1:6,7), it was necessary that John the Baptist should receive, by personal revelation from God, as, an indubitable, absolute knowledge of the Messiah ship of Jesus. Without this, John would not have been truly qualified as a witness. That Jesus is the Son of God must not rest on hearsay evidence. John kept silent till he could testify of his own knowledge.
In this hour of darkness covering the land and growing darker day by day, it is time to prepare and KNOW that you have by personal revelation from God, as here stated, an indubitable, absolute knowledge of the Messiah ship of Jesus. For in the last days, MANY shall be offended whether they are with one another or OFFENDED because of Christ and the known sufferings and persecutions that this Gospel of The Kingdom of God ushers in. Take time TODAY to know Christ so that you my friend are not offended because of Him.
