Christ made it perfectly clear :
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal
John 12:25 (KJV)
There are countless millions of "Christians" in this crucial hour that say they "know Christ" and yet are loving their lives to the end.
What did Christ mean, after all isn't "loving oneself" healthy?
Many forgot that you are not your own, that you were bought with a price; and loving your life is indeed a violation and almost like stealing.
See, If you love yourself, then you will seek to appease it and obey it's commands, from " obsession over your looks", " how fly you dress" " how you've plan out the way you will live and what you are going to do" failing to realize that your life is but a vapor.
Christ said, that except you do The Will of my Father, essentially, your life has no meaning. You are called to do the Will of God.
Many "Christians" will boast, "how they love their lives" and what they just said is,: "I will not suffer and have no intentions of doing so" and "I am pretty much pleased with myself and my life"; giving no room for personal dying to self or any other death that glorifies God.
